Pittsburgh

So these are the first photos I'm posting on here, and I need some critiquing for them. These of Pittsburgh, and I don't know what to think. The first one, with the long bridge and river visible underneath has a purple splotch in the upper left sky that I don't know how to get rid of properly. Also, in all of the photos, there are areas that are very over exposed that I could not (did not have enough time to mess around with settings because it was cold and I was going numb) get to a proper level. Suggestions on how to do this? Add anything else you think could be fixed too! Thanks!

When shooting night scenes, bracket liberally from your tripod, then choose the best later, or even HDR them.

I have a feeling that the purple splotch might actually be the moon through the clouds. Don't be so critical of them, they're actually nice photos for the most part. Welcome to TPF!
