Planning on going full frame.

So I want to go full frame. Not sure if I should sell my D7K to go full frame...I've tested out a D700 and really loved it however I'm not sure if its worth the money. I've been looking at the D2X and they sell for about 800-900$ used which is pretty good deal and in my budget. Should I get the D2X or sell the D7K to get the D700?

I would wait...but my budget is about 1000$ and I've heard great things about the D2X even though its such an old camera.

That's my plan........... get the next full-frame that comes out (assuming it's gonna be worth it), and keep the D7k as a second body.

Hah...Just saw some of the rumor specs of the D800...1/16,000 shutter? 120fps 1080p? Seriously...

What does the D2X offer that your D7000 doesn't? Let's see:

-Full frame? Nope.
-Higher FPS? Nope.
-More MP's? Nope.
-Better ISO performance? Nope.
-Video? Nope.
-Pro style so you look like a pro to non-photographers? Yep.
-and so on...

There are no advantages I can see to getting a D2X. What are your reasons?

And as far as the rumors go...no one knows jack. Not to mention when said rumored camera would even be released. Use what you have until something specific about your gear limits you. Heck, we could even do a list like above for the D700 vs D7000...

Oh man...I thought I read it was a FX...So whats the cheapest FX out there?

i would guess the d700 (without going ancient tech). i think it retails around $2k?

Cheap and FX don't go together. Not for a number of years, anyway.

Why the obsession with full frame? What makes it better than DX for your use specifically?

bokeh is nicer and you can shoot better in low light. better performance overall. my reasons i want to go FX....

1.3 is a 1D.

1Ds, 5D are full frames. You can get a classic 5D for like $900 (12.1 MP).
