While I love your "studio" shots. I feel this should be taken in the dugout of a field with some baseball atmosphere.

Who says it needs to be a big league ball park. Why not pay a visit to the local high school field.

other than the location, which I agree would be great in a ballfield, had I even known she was bringing this outfit and made special plans for one outfit, I'd love some critique on the lighting, processing.

Yes.

I think the hair light is kind of out of place. It's too bright and white in comparison to the key light.

It also feels like you're lighting *up* at her in this image, which I'm not really digging.

How *did* you light it? Something just feels off.

I am not sure what you mean by "lighting *up* at her"? Do you mean my light was too low? That actually may be so. If I recall correctly I bounced skylight from across the room, it may have been at a poor angle.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean.

Something I have learned from assisting out here, is the ideal way to bounce light to someone.

Rarely do you want to have the reflector shooting UP at them from below. You want to catch the light with the reflector at a the very least a 90 degree angle perpendicular from the ground, or better yet, to hold it up higher and catch the light and bounce it *down* at them.

It's a subtle change if you're not paying attention, but there is a difference, and it can make or break an image.

Ya thanks! I use a 4'x8' sheet of foam that has aluminum on the back as a reflector. The studio has two nice skylights. I do have a ladder and can probably rig up a scaffold to elevate it, good idea!
