Playing some more with laser and running water

Just one pen laser but this was a time exposure while I moved the laser to various points. The frequency is 405nm which causes different materials to light up with different colors....I think that's why there are two different colors present, or maybe the white balance was trying to figure out what to do. Thanks.

Neat effect!
Almost worth considering blurring some of the details (or use a really wide aperture so that the depth of field is tiny) so that you get a more mysterious blur - making the subject slightly less well defined.

Just one word of caution (esp with reflective surfaces) don't let the laser light get down the lens. If the laser beam reaches the sensor it can burn it. I've seen it done more so with video where the constant on-sensor during video gets lines burned into it. Stills are still going to suffer the same potential problem (esp with slower shutter speeds). Only way to fix a sensor after that is to get a new one fitted.

VERY cool effect! I wish the camera had been lined up ever so slightly differently WRT to the basin of the sink front area and the degree of levelness of the camera, but that's fodder for a re-shoot. The coloration here is pretty cool. Anyway, I really enjoyed seeing this! Keeping the white balance setting locked down in-camera would make some sense I think, to be able to control the effect achieved. This looks like a really fun,fun project. Way to go Dave!
