Playing with my extension tubes.

This was actually inspired by the "What the heck to do???" thread. I was sitting there thinking the exact same thing as the OP in that thread.. what is there to shoot? It's cold and dull outside and I'm tired of shooting things around the house. So I forced myself to use my imagination, searched through my closet looking for junk to shoot. Came up with a few that I liked. Used my 50mm 1.8 with a set of Zeikos extension tubes.

Setup: Natural cloudy sunlight through my window, with the help of a small LED flashlight. Objects placed on a galvanized aluminum bucket from the garage.

(these are just some mints I had laying around)

Mostly straight off the camera, some minor color tweaks is all.

interesting necklace, hmm I am an hour and half south west of you and it was sunny and just a bit cool here until about 5 here.

We had about an hour of clouds roll through.. and it wasn't "cold", but it was a little chilly.. mid 40s or so. Was more or less just making a comparison to what the guy said in the other thread.
