pretty cool stuff. Using any diffusers or reflectors? or just bare bounce

The second looks great!

Setup?

No bounce. Both of these were shot with diffuser cap snooted about 1 foot away from the subject. First one was camera right, second above camera left. It was shot on our glass dining room table with a bunch of crap on it lol, gotta love using the flash to make the background black.

Tips on how one would do this?

Low Iso
High Aperture
Fast Shutter

These were shot at f/14 and f/11 with an iso of 200 and shutter of 1/60.

Most of the tips I've read on this usually involve a shutter of 1/160 or 1/200, but I got away with 1/60 b/c my ambient lighting wasn't much at all.

Bump.

To squeeze any life out of this thread lol. Especially any info from our strobist here on anything I should/can do differently next time.

I like #2 also and I love the black backgrounds
