Please critique my little tyke photos...

Hey all - thanks for the replies.

Sashbar - it was actually a completely overcast day. I adjusted the WB to give it the look of being shot without cloud cover. I tend to do that a lot - shoot overcast days and adjust WB to add that "sun" color cast. Maybe nobody else does it like that. Just something I started doing.

As to the composition on #1... the buildings and everything in the BG are very distracting... Pallycow - I liked the cloning that you did. However, I must just have a warped sense of composition... for some reason I like the look of having my subjects off to one side and having empty space fill one section of the frame. I'm not saying that's right, and maybe it looks downright hideous. I guess it's just a look I like right now, and it's very possible that when I look back years from now (and I've progressed more with photography) I'll wonder what on earth I was thinking.

Absolutely adorable! The only thing is the brightness has to be reduced since the light is too strong..

I don't think you have a warped sense of composition. I think they're referring to the fact that the big guy, your main subject in #1, leads you right out the left side of the image. Tradition composition would dictate you lead the main subject, with the dead background space being on the left side vs. the right. But it's a nice shot in all I think. Bring the right side to the edge of the trees maybe.
#2 is pretty awesome. He's a cool kid!
