Please help me decide

I am a fahion design student. And i will be doing fashion photo shoot soon. I am going to buy Canon 700d(t5i) with 18-55mm stm len. Do u think it is a suitable one for me? And am wondering about the eye fi card, is it good as built in wifi from nikon such as the d5300?

Is this photoshoot indoors, and do you plan on using a flash?

Get the Nikon D5300, its got a better sensor and better AF system then the Canon 700D
The D5300 has better low light performance, better dynamic range and the lack of AA filter means sharper image (if you use good lenses).
Saying that the Canon 700D is a good camera too.

The choice between the two should come down to ergonomics more than that kind of thing. If you like using the camera, you'll use it more and make better pictures with it than you would with a camera that gives technically better images.

That being said, it doesn't mean the camera can't be better in both technical image quality and ergonomics. From a very quick handle at a local store, I personally found Nikon cameras are better designed ergonomically for my hands. But I still prefer the Olympus OM-D E-M5 I own and use all the time.

To the OP, it doesn't really matter which camera you end up buying, as all current DSLR and mirrorless system cameras are great. If you're really not sure at all, an entry-level DSLR with kit lens, like the Canon EOS 100D (which I personally prefer over the 700D) or Nikon D5300 is certainly a safe bet, though I'd personally go for either the Olympus OM-D E-M10 or the Sony Alpha a6000 first. Again, it boils down to ergonomics, so go to a local camera store and try these cameras out for yourself.

Well the 5300 has a flipout screen as well - have to admit not sure why a touch screen would be a deal breaker. Just doesn't seem like a tremendously useful feature to have in a camera.

I see it is easy to configure settings by touch and it has auto focus. Hmm i am new to camera, i have no idea. Many people recommend nikon also. Is Nikon that good?<br/>

For the type of shooting you describe I'd prefer the Nikon - better high ISO to noise ratio and dynamic range, higher MP sensor, etc. Me I'd be looking at the d5300 and a 50 mm 1.8 AFS-G lens with a decent external flash. I think in the long run that's going to give you the best bang for your buck.

Ahaa u mean models shoot? Yehh here price of both 700d or d5300 are same. I am still deciding...

OM-D E-M10 is indeed an excellent camera but being micro 4/3 means the D5300 have some advantage in low light, the Panasonic has a very effective inbody VR which is an advantge in some case compared to the Nikon but it will not do much if you are shooting moving subject in low light and need to bump up ISO and also being a Nikon you have the advantage of a much bigger lens array in different quality and price range new and used.
Sony a6000 is an excellent camera! but Sony lenses cost a fortune as far as I know.
My recommendation will still be D5300 I think overall best bang for the buck with a huge lenses to find new and used.
