please help no photo shop

I took this pic of my son and I think it came out nice I blew it up and Iam not happy with a few things I wanted to darken out the area to the right of the pic and possibly take care of the boogey poking out of his nostril ....I dont have nor would I know how to do this can some one here help me or do I need to take it else where..????
