Please Help! Resizing issue!

Ok, so I need to resize a pic so that it is at least 300 dpi at 4x6".
How on earth am I supposed to figure that out?!?!

Do you have Photoshop or Elements? If not, what software do you have?

In Photoshop, on the menu, click IMAGE, the click IMAGE SIZE. In this box, you can change the PPI (not DPI, which is a printer thing) and you can set the size. If the image is not 1200 x 1800 pixels, it will have to be re-sampled. If you have less pixels, then Photoshop will have to make up some pixels and you will loose some quality to the image.

Another way to to do this would be to open a new canvas that is preset to 4x6 at 300 PPI. Then copy & paste your image onto the new canvas and resize as needed.

Right now I only have Picasa and some other microsoft program... if I'm not able to use those at all, I'll have to stop by school tomorrow and use thier PS7.
