Please help! spots on photos

My long exposure NR botton was turned off when I took those firework shots. I should try to take some with and without this feature and see how it turns out. It might solve some of the questions we have.

It would actually be extremely hard to do with fireworks because it does a double exposure for X seconds. So if you hit the shutter on a 30 second exposure, it would take a "dead" picture for 30 seconds (no light reaches sensor), and then it would take the real one.

Generally with fireworks you need to control when the shutter is opened and closed somewhat spur of the moment.
