I'm always out and about taking pics of my kids, some moms have asked me to photograph their kids, at the park, beach, etc.... How do I know if I'm good enough to take on that task?

If you are asking this question, chances are you are not ready to do anything resembling professional work for others.
Do you know exposure inside and out?
Do you know your speedlight and how to use it in every possible situation?
Can you shoot in any condition and consistently get a good, sell-able image?
Do you have any idea of the ramifications of starting to take on "clients"?

Show the other mom's your pictures ... if that is exactly what they want ... then you know you can provide images they will like.
