Please improve my photo

I would be so grateful if someone could improve this photo. I understand its quite a bad one but i thought maybe something could be done about the shadow

You're right about it being a bad photograph. I might even go so far as to say I can't remember seeing one worse.

Haha well thanks, it was at a festival and its not as though the artist had time for me to turn on flash etc, so just trying to make the best of a bad situation. Do you not think i can do anything to improve it?

If you have an editing software that can lighten the shadows, that is about as much as I would expect.

As for creating the lower half of a face, it's going to take some wizardry with photoshop.

I tried to figure it all out myself but no luck so far, do you know anywhere i can send or who i can speak to, to try and fix it?

I took a closer look at it. This is a very small file, 281KB. That is, when I attempted to do any editing to it the picture truly falls apart. There are digital artifacts the size of marbles and color coring to the point where it is distorted beyond being able to tell what it is.

FWIW - Many of the things they do with enhancing photos on TV crime shows is fantasy and cannot be done in real life.

Really? I have noticed it's frequently overloaded. When it's working I always thought it was fast.

I cannot ever get Flickr to load. On mobile it's even more of a disaster. Actually, I can't think of a single image host that I like haha!
