I've been working on "training" some of the local squirrels to do what I call the peanut trick. If I see them outside, I tap my fingers on the window and they know to climb up on the railing and look in the window at me. Once that is done, they know to run down to the driveway and wait for the peanuts to arrive.

Looks like they get lotsa peanuts.

They are very well-fed!

We're always tossing scraps on the lawn for the various creatures. Besides the usual birds, squirrels and chipmunks we've seen raccoons, skunks, foxes (although not for a while now), opossums. And just the other day a really big muskrat strolled down my driveway and into the neighbor's yard.

When we first moved into our home there was this one super friendly squirrel who would come up on our deck all the time. I suspect that the former owners fed it. One day we put a walnut on the outside sill of the kitchen window and watched while it came up to get it. Got a really good close up view. That’s when I realized they are rats with fluffy tails!

Sounds much like here. A couple days ago there was a possum on our balcony.
