Pocket Wizard - radio slave

Hi there.

Do you know if the Pocket Wizard radio slave will work with Commander mode on Nikon D80 or D300? I would like to know if I can trigger the pocket wizard using commander mode.

No. You cannot mix and match technologies. Either you are full manual mode on the flash and triggers by the PWs *or* you are in commander mode (Nikon's CLS), no hybrid possibilities there.

What you *can* do is wirelessly trigger an SB-800 (or SB-600), and if you have other SB-800/600s in optical slave mode, they can be triggered by the light of the PW triggered flash. Then again, those optically triggered flashes will not be triggered by just your flash, but also by ANY flash in the close vicinity, including all P&S cameras with flashes.
