Got bored,took a picture of myself taking a picture.I am holding my old-school Nikon N65 and this picture was taken w/the Canon sd1000.

I also think that a black and white version would be great. On the crop I would suggest getting rid of some or all of the room above your head or maybe even a square crop would work with this.
