Comfort Inn? There is little comfort knowing these are running around. :biggrin-93: BD, this is a nice shot. I like that you have its eye in focus. That makes the picture for me.

This is Big Joe...He's about 3 times the length and 5 times the girth of this one. Big Joe is in the 12-14 foot range.

Aw come on. They're more afraid of you than you are of them.
That may be true, but I am not sure I would want to test it out, would you? I understand that they can move a lot faster than most people think they can. :biggrin-93:

They can hit their body length in the time it takes you to think about one going that fast. One this size on flat level ground will run you down. And they are not afraid of much of anything. Corner one with babies and see if your theory holds true..or, go swimming where the "Alligators are Present" signs are posted...Thank you, but I'll watch from a safe distance.

That was a joke. Gators aren't wired for fear.

It's just a dumb thing people say about the most ridiculous things. Bears etc.

Picture removed for space considerations. WG

BD, those are good "stats" to know. I'm with you and baturn. I will watch them from a safe distance with my 600mm lens. :icon_thumright:

When I was a kid, my father took me and my brother to hilton head, SC. The hotel we stayed in had a pool that was glassed in like a green house. A huge croc came out of the pond in the golf course and hung out right outside the glass. Was really cool.
