Popeyes Chicken!

Decided to go shoot the new Popeyes that opened up in my neighborhood not too long ago.
Got yelled at by the manager and a drive-thru customer for taking these but I think it was worth it..

The subject matter is a bit lacking. I like night shots in B&W. Conversion is decently done. #1 is a nice idea, not helped again by content.

#2 would be great if there was a hooker leaning against the wall smoking a cigarette - and it was a hotel instead of a popeyes.

I like number two. Not a lot of meaning...as its just a drive though, but something about it makes me like it still.

I'd like to see sleists' take on it...go shoot that next...although you might get a pimp yelling at you vs. a store manager.

Haha there was a lack of hookers out that night.. Maybe I'll hire one just for this photo ;D

The second one is far and away the best. The hooker might be an improvement, but at that point you're just copying other photos. Strongly graphical image, good eye leading, nice punchy visual center. Is there a story in it of some sort? I dunno. Maybe experiment with nailing the moment the food is handed out, or the money handed in? I don't know if a little human element would hurt or hinder -- it would certainly change it.

I like the idea of the first one. I would probably probably fiddle around with the alignment, and then bring out the Thrift Store sign a bit (you could just dodge it up a trifle, for example) -- I think the sign turns this from a fairly boring exercise in architectural geometry into a fairly witty image. You could argue that it's poking a little fun at the geometrical architecture photographs with which we are swamped. The one problem is that there's very strong eye leading that goes.. nowhere. I don't see any way to fix that, it's just an observation.

The third one does nothing for me. It looks like a throwaway shot that's got a nice dramatic B&W conversion that makes one think, for a moment, that it might be interesting.
