portrait lens?

I need a really good lens for Portrait work. For my xsi

50mm f1.4 (f1.8 if budget), 85mm f1.8, 100mm f2.8 macro.

for zooms: 24-70 f2.8L, 28-135 IS

A request for equipment advice should be accompanied with a budget.

I think the 50mm f1.8 + 85mm f1.8 or the 28-135 IS are both within that range. I much prefer the primes but it really is a personal choice.

If you already have something in those focal ranges and looking for a good telephoto zoom, the 70-200 f4L is just under $600 usd.
