Portrait of self and wife

Friends, I am posting my image as a portrait. The picture was under harsh midday sun and without fill in flash or reflector. Please give your valuable comments regarding this.



The second image is of my wife and I have used photoshop at a grate extent to retouch it. Please don't forget to leave your comments.

Your image to be honest isn't terribly exciting, but I quite like the one of your wife. Could you post one the 'right way up' so as to avoid having to crick one's neck to view it?

Agreed. I like it too but can't tell if I quite have a nitpick or not because of the sideways posting.

I was in a dilemma that what should I do...should I repost the image after rotating or I should leave it as it is as the picture was taken while she was laying down. Any way, important lesson learned: portrait not always means only face, a bit of her body would have been much help while taking picture in unusual position.
