Did a photo shoot with one of the sororities on campus, and this was one of the better head shots from today. Thoughts??

Lighting setup was one SB600 behind an umbrella camera right (about 8ft, 45 degrees), and one bare SB600 camera left pointed upwards at 45 degrees (8ft, 45 degrees). Shot with a D7000, 80-200 2.8D, and an SU800. My SB600's kept not firing depending on the orientation of my camera. Needless to say, I can't wait till my pocket wizards come in! I feel so limited by the SU800, and it made me stressed because the flashes weren't firing consistently.

Well, I wouldn't really consider this a headshot. It's a little bit too loosely composed for that. But that's just semantics and not really relevant lol.

I would probably look at the WB. Although the background looks correct, their faces are a bit blue.

And there is also a little too much negative space in relation to the two girls, because there seems to be a lot of room as the top, and their hands are cropped a bit closely at the bottom.

Here's my edit:

(I know it probably seems a bit yellow but I'm terrible at correcting WB on JPEGs lol)

I do like that you got them out of the direct sun into a place that has flattering light. :)

Thanks! I was cropping to 8x10, and that's the best I could do. But I see how it looks a lot better with less negative space.

I tried to get the flesh tones looking as good as possible.
