Thanks!

Alright I know I will not be the only one to say, the background is very visible and the streaks are not appealing. I think IMHO, a greater DOF would have helped these photos out a bit.
Good start keep shooting!

i think tha light was too much,

First off the lighting is awful it looks like you have 2 lights at 45 on the same power giving you very flat lighting, your subjects need to be at least 6 feet feet from the back ground and try not to let light fall on the background. The best way is to have 1 light at 45deg to subject and 45deg high and 1 behind opposite and a reflector infront and opposite your front light bouncing a bit of light into the shadows
a bit like this the back light is about 1/2 a stop under the front light

Well I agree 100% .. but you have to understand the room that I am working in is so small thats its hard to get them any farther away .. this will change here hopefully in the next month or so .. so given the working conditions ...

the fill light was about 1/2 power what the main light is .. again lack of room ...

Please don't think I took this offensively .. just explaining the issues I am currently working in .. hahaha

increase the black slider

Black slider?

ok I figured it out ... I need to figure out hot to tone down dads eyes in elements 9 ...

Still trying to learn the program .. just bought it a few days ago .. lol

You can be offensive to me it's like water off a ducks back it takes a lot to upset me , another way you could go about it is get more material and drape with nice looking folds and just shoot head and shoulders and try just 1 light and reflector, keep it as simple as possible

Along with the eyes being very blue...the pupils look really odd. Almost like cat eyes. I can't get past his eyes in that picture-creepy.

I am a beginner so can't offer anything but yes, the dad's eyes look alien.
