posting pics?

newbie trying to learn how to post pics. my pics arent' at a URL so the "insert image" button won't work... I can't copy and paste either...any suggestions??

A good rule of thumb is to not go more than 800 pixels wide...I generally go 700 wide.

photobucket had a handy little edit size button that had an option that was "for message boards" I thought that would work...

weird, i refreshed the website and the pictures were all smaller, then refreshed again and they were big again... hmmm...i dont think the message boards like my pics!

I resize BEFORE uploading to photobucket....I've never used photobucet's resize feature, but at a quick glance it looks like it doesn't give you a lot of options.

What photo editing software do you have?
