Once fully developed in the future, I can imagine being able to fine-tune the spectrum as well as the focal length: at will polarization, opacity, IR, etc. Or maybe an ocular implant, controlled by your own unique brainwaves, that enables telescopic vision, any kind of filter, and perhaps an export function, all by mere intention...

How about a MF credit card-sized camera, with the nano sensor and "zoom/filter" layers on one side, and the nano display layers deposited on the other side?
