Practicing my Horizon

after tragedy i had last night ,i hope everything going better ...here is my new FinePix 2980 ( NOW ORIGINAL) , i tried to practice my horizon , and pls give me advice wht shoul or which better way to shot my lovely pink scooter :

Looks good, however not much of horizon here. Like with every portrait, watch your surroundings, this front end of a car and strong looking, bright vertical pipe are distraction.

take it to isolation... or a long deserted road etc...this is too cluttered

Don't take it to the extreme, city is a natural surrounding of a bike. The wall and fence looks unobtrusive and they might help in creating third dimension. (Over the time, when you "graduate" to Dslr in situation like this you might use a long lens to create narrow DoF just for the subject rendering the rest much softer.) But like with portrait of pretty girl you don't want "fragments" of other people in your frame or strong highlights in the background. There should be only your girl.

yea i need to learn basic...how to use my own camera...good link from Mleek ...i need to know how to set aperture , how to create DoF etc...like you said 1st i must walk before run
