Pretty little one

Came across a Marbled Orb Weaver for the first time; also known as a Pumpkin Spider. It's unusual to see them out on the web if there's no prey...they nomally hide under a leaf or a bit of bark until their sensor thread activates.

Nice shot. I walked into one's web (rather large web) just yesterday and had it all over me. I looked down and there it was climbing up a thread toward my face.
