Hi all

I'm going travelling in September, Russia and down through China, then Thailand and Oz, NZ, Fiji and back through India.

I'll be shooting mostly on Fuji Velvia 50 and other slide film and want to know if anyone has purchased this kind of film easily in any of the countries I'm going to. For obvious reasons I don't want to carry all my stock round from day one.

Also is it any cheaper buying film abroad? Velvia is about £5 a roll in the UK at the moment (£4 if I buy bulk)

Thanks

I just had a look on the Photo Continental site (Australia), it says for Fuji Velvia 50ASA, 36 EXP - $18.

I have never used this, but I usually use Fujifilm, and for a 3 pack of 24exp, in Australia it costs $9.99. When I went to New Zealand it was about $18 for the same thing... So that should give you an idea...

This is the page if you want more prices: http://www.photocontinental.com.au/...0&keywords=Velvia&supplierCode=&search=Search

You should find velvia in Russia no problem. I don't know about the price though.
