Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm entering a photo into our local art contest, and need to put a price on it (or nfs, but i'd rather sell it). For an 8x10, what is a good price to set just the photo at? I never shop for photos, so I have no idea what's good or not. I guess whatever the cost for the frame turns out to be, i'll add that on top.

Take an hour or two, and check out a couple of local galleries and note the cost of work of comparable quality and image-size and similar subject matter. Use that as a guide.

$40-$100 for the print, plus framing. Certainly add in the price of the framing (which can run between $3 and $150).

depends on how good the photo is

Or more likely, it depends how much someone likes it and is willing to pay for it.

I've seen plenty of photos (or more often, paintings) that I personally think aren't very good...but they sell for a lot.

It was going to be one I had posted in a different thread, after I worked a bit on the editing.

But then I read the fine print and have a concience about lying. The photo would have to have been taken in the last two years and this one was over two years ago. So my sister convinced me to prepare a painting instead. Gives me something productive to do while i'm stuck indoors at least! :p
