Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I printed a 11 by 14 inch photo with my canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II on a luster paper (I think) withouth any problem like half year ago. And it looks like this (photoed by phone):
$photo 2.webp
Today I printed on the same paper and same setting ( I think) but it came out like this:
$photo 1.webp

I printed several small prints in between without any problem. The last print was last week on a glossy paper without any problem.
At first, I thought maybe paper type was not right, I changed to matte paper type, the problem still there.
The black and yellow inks were low and I thought that was the problem so I replaced these two inks with new ones, but still no luck.
Anyone know what could cause this problem? Thanks.

Julian

Being an Epson printer owner rather than Canon printer owner, from my Epson 'perspective', it's possible that you need to go into maintenance mode (printer settings) and select 'clean jets' and then select 'alignment'. The alignment is used to get all the various ink colors aligned to print at the same location on the paper. That is what I've had to do after printing about 300 images on each of my Epsons. They start to look 'fuzzy'.

Alternatively, your post indicated you switched to matte paper type. Is that physically changed the paper, or changed the paper setting in the computer? The apparent smeared-look could be how the printer 'compensates' for a non-smooth surface (matte), -or-, you printed on plain printer paper (quite porous) and the ink soaked in and bled into the surrounding area.

Looks like you printed on the back of the paper.

Yep #3. Looks like a print made on the backing side of the paper.

If you want consistent results, I recommend you keep records of the settings you use for each print paper type so you know what settings you used before instead of (I think).

What brand paper do you use?

a 4th vote printed on the wrong side.

Thank you guys so much.
I printed on the other side and it worked fine!!!!
The two sides are so similar, I made a mistake not recognizing the right side!
I bought the printer along with some papers from one photographer. The package says it's pro master ultra premium pearl paper.
I think I saw some papers can be printed on both sides, but obviously not this type.
Thanks again !!!
