Problems with vignetting and protection filters

Ok so I've been a bit worried about my big white lens and -- well - I've finally caved and put some protection on it. However I'm getting a serious vignetting problem and I just don't think its acceptable - so how do you guys with protection filters deal with it? Should I be getting an oversized filter or something?

Here is the link; what is very interesting is the shot done with FIVE cheap UV filters stacked, and then with five GOOD UV filters stacked...quite a difference!
