Processing C&C?

Hey! I'm back. I've been shooting like crazy with my new D7000 and I LOVE it!

Here are a few of my first pictures taken with my new camera. It was a windy afternoon with a toddler who had no nap, but we powered through!

My issue has always been processing too warm, mostly because I hate my pictures to be on the cool side. I really tried to restrain myself, so tell me, what do you think?

Her eyes are really like that too. I swear!! They are blue blue blue with that dark ring around them. I did nothing to them except mask out when I added a super slight blur to the picture.

TO me, colors are not too warm, but hairs are overexposed.

Gray card use = correct color balance.

Yes, I have heard of this "gray-card" and I will look into using it. lol Its actually been suggested to me from a few of my IRL photog friends since I've brought up this issue, and, since I'm no longer overwhelmed by my camera and all its glory, I think it will be something that I will add to my arsenol.

I am also looking into purchasing light-room so I can batch process my images. I hate color correcting one-by-one!

A white piece of paper will work in a pinch but its not as good. But its better then guessing.

A gray card is really simple to use. Its just a card that is mostly white with some gray added in. This will pick up on what ever lighting you use. You just go to custom set up for white balance and take a picture of the card. Simple as that.
