Hey Benjo, I like the processing on this but the crop seems wrong. Being your guy is on the right side of the frame, and looking to the right, the space on the left seems like wasted real estate. Just my two cents

I agree with rick, I would crop the left space off, probably just up almost to the soldier's shoulder.

He is looking to the right, but his torso is [looking] the other way.

You're right. He is looking at the camera.
I'm not a portrait guy, so maybe I'm way off base here. It just seems "right side heavy" to me. Maybe the portrait guys will tell me to stick to barns and tombstones

To me it looks way over sharpened, there are strong halos around his hat and coat and for my taste his face is showing too much texture.
