ProMax 600ws studio flash head is typically used for background, fill, or highlighting. It can control the lighting depends on the cameraman's mind from 1/8 power to maximum. There are two ways to control the light. One is using a link cable connect with the lamp which can control directness synchronously. There is a test button on the lamp that you can know whether connected or not.
