Prosumer or professional DSLR

Hi

I need you help guys. I am on the indecision of choosing between 3 camerass at the same price.
One is a prosumer camera with 18000 actuations and the other is a professional camera in the need of a real dust wipe with 42000 actuations. On the othe hand i have a mirrorless setup Samsung nx20 for wich system i do not have lens for less more... Help me. I am lost... :-(

Greetings lloper - the terms "prosumer" and "professional" really don't help much in evaluating cameras because it depends on who you talk to as to which camera might be considered "prosumer" and which might be considered "professional."

Really to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each system you'd need to post what actual models of cameras your considering.

Well both are pretty old cameras but stil usable I suppose. I'd probably lean towards the D200 myself, 5 FPS as opposed to 3. Of course I'd probably save up some more money and wait myself, maybe spend a few extra bucks on something with a bit newer sensor.

The lenses i use with nikon are afd lenses. The 3xxx and 5xxxx doesnt suit me... So i only have d7xxxx and d200\300 an d700. All these cost more than 700 dol over here...

Cheap alternatives are the d300 and d200... :-(

If d300 is an option, then go for that and don't look back. D200 is better than D80 if not, but those are both still pretty old. While the D300 is old too, it's way better than the D200/D80 if you ever plan to shoot over 800iso. (I own both D200/D300)

The cheapest i Got a d300 was 400dol... lots more than the d200

D200 is a fine camera at low ISO. I was very happy with mine up to 800 and 1600 in a pinch. Proper exposure goes a long way towards mitigating noise. I had two simultaneously, one with a 17-55/2.8, the other with a 70-200/2.8 and a sb800 for each. I was photographing 'events'.

bought it! Great camera.. you know people are afraid of dust and dirt. That is why they priced it at 150 euros.. so now i Have a clean new camera and it works perfectly. It was really dirty on the rubber, but its perfect now. My only concern is the sensor with dust over f10...

Eclipse solution and sensor swabs will fix that right up.

Dust at f/11, and at f/13, and at f/16, f/22, etc is THE NORMAL problem. You can clan the sensor, and in six to twelve hours, there will be at least "some" dust spots visible at f/10, f/11.f/13,etc. That is just the way it is...
