PS noob question!

Is it possible to achieve lightening bolts in photoshop?Im trying to add effects to a picture ive been playing around with and I think Iwant some lightening bolts for fear factor!

This does not work!Ive tried it a dozen times.It does not creat lightening.

Of course it doesn't create lightning. It creates an effect that looks like lightning.

No,It dosent,not on my computer anyway,I followed the steps and it just dosent work It gives you something but it dosent look like lightning.

There are thousdands of tutorials out there. Find another, and follow it very carefully.
