PS & Wire fence - pls help

I took this photo through a wire fence. What can I do to hide/minimize the blurry lines made by the fence?? I worked out to get the camera as close to fens as possible. Is there something I can do in PS since I've got a whole bunch of other photos that also need some fiddling with.

I'd tackle it in one of two different ways:

1. Use the healing patch tool to heal over the areas that are fuzzy.

2. Get a clean image of the background foliage and actually remove the entire fence. It would take a LOT of work and a fair amount of PS experience to get this idea looking natural though.

Are you sure they will not let you in the cage? Jokingly of course. I would go with changing the background. Maybe a super tight crop and then try the clone or heal tools. Either way be prepared to take your time; it could be a lot of work.
