I live in Pennsylvania, so the recent news about Penn State has hit home for a lot of people. Most of my graduating class went there and most of their parents went there. So emotions are running high. I was wondering if this story is big all around the world or just here in the states? I can't watch tv or read a paper w/ out it being front and center.

Can't really answer because I'm in the area too. On the one hand I would think people are so jaded about corruption and various misdeeds in college athletics that it would be a big yawn in the rest of the world, but then you would think the misdeeds of politicians would hardly be newsworthy and yet we have to hear about them all the time.

I listen to sports radio all day....so when they're not talking about hockey, they have been talking a lot about PSU & JoPa.

Although, it's quite disconcerting that all the talk is centered around JoPa and not Sandusky & the victims.

Big news here in Jersey but will be everywhere I think due to the root causes and because of the legacy of Joe. It's some story with incredible implications.

I'm in the DC Metro area and it's a HUGE story down here. No offense to you Mishele, but the reaction of some of the students to JoPa's termination was an abomination to me. It's unreal how classless and self-interested they seemed and that they were more concerned about JoPa's "image" than they were about the victims. Sickening.

I don't think most students follow the news. I think they had no idea what the cause was.

The media cycle seems to run about two weeks. I figure it will be headlining about that long in other areas, a bit longer in PA.

I completely agree w/ you!!! I didn't go to school there, so I am removed from the overly emotional reactions that some are having!! I believe they should make those college kids read the indictment. Anyone that reads that and still has a problem w/ removing people......wow I don't even know what to say about them.
