Actively seizing patient about to shake themselves off the bed, foaming at the mouth, coughing up bloody sputum does not make for a great after lunch call. Would have made some great stop action shots of us running them out the door though.

hahahaha.. been there, done that! I prefer that to a full blown Cardiac... or a serious trauma multi-vehicle accident....

Pink frothy sputum suggests a possible pulmonary embolism.. not fun. b/p was pretty high. He got sedated and intubated.

Yea.. that sounds rough! I didn't mean to make light of it. Funny how after a while, stuff like that is almost normal to you, and doesn't really bug you until the adrenaline wears off.

Adults never bothered me... but I hated pedi calls. One of the reasons I finally quit... couldn't handle that aspect anymore. Had a bad one.. still have nightmares sometimes....

I need to stop posting under the influence...
