Pumpkin field pictures C&C please

So this is the first time I have posted pictures on TPF. Please, by all means help me by telling me how these could be improved or what I could do better to make my images more pleasing.

I am an extreme beginner using a Nikon d5000 with kit lens. If you need any more detail or information on the pictures, I can tell you what settings I used.

There are no images.

Make sure the URLs you try to load end in .jpg.
Anything you get offered by Flickr that does not end in .jpg will NOT show as a picture!!!

I like the composition on the pumpkins shots... i think the need a more shallow depth of field though. What settings were you shooting in?

I would suggest getting lower to the ground and using the biggest aperture that you lens allows.

The first 4 look as though they were taken with a point n shoot, but #5 looks like a nice photo. You have your subject nicely framed and it has a bit of a story. I like it.

the pumpkins are cool.. everyone loves autumn but get some different perspective, it looks like you just stood there and pointed... many many things you can do in a pumpkin patch if you use your imgaination
