After looking through the forums, google, amazon and various other places, I finally purchased my new tripod and head today.
Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 3-Section Pro Carbon Fiber Tripod

My local store does price matching so that made it super easy to purchase from them.
I'm very happy with the selection and can't wait to try them out.
(Btw.. i'm coming from a Silk Universal U-112, about 15+ years old).
