Pure Boredom

I decided to play around with my new lens, 50mm f/1.8. My buddy was completely bored out of his mind because I wouldn't let him go outside and play in the rain.

I don't care for the eye being right in the center, it feels unbalanced, but you've got great color and exposure, and he's lit nicely.

Love the lighting here! I agree, the composition is a little static, but I enjoy the overall feel of this photo! He has beautiful eyes!

Real cute dog! The blown out portion in front of his nose is distracting to me. I like the picture overall though.

Yeah, he normally doesn't sit still for very long, so I take what I can get with him. I wanted to leave open space in front of him, so I might crop some off just behind his ear so it's not centered. I just used indrect window lighting, but the blown out section is where the sun was breaking through the clouds and shining on the white laundry basket...not sure how I'm going to fix that yet. If I crop behind his ear and the blown out section in front of his nose, I'll have a pretty square picture, which I'm not too sure I'd like.

Yeah...I REALLY like this lens at f/2.8.

You could try using the clone tool to fill it in with the same white that is just to its left.
