self critique- cut off her nose!

My first real portrait attempt with off camera lighting. I am using 2 attached work lights to the right of the camera, no lights from the left, no flash from the camera.

Self critique- the lighting+shadows is distracting, and the background is too dark.
Next time I would use a better background, and better off camera lighting:thumbup:

Thanks guys:hugs:

Both great portraits. A lot has gone into the second one which shows. I like the laid back, non-purposeful pose on that one too.

Number one is fantastic in the black and white, what a great subject.

Loving the first one because, well, it is a boxer! I must say I am a boxer collector, real and fake one :blushing:

Next time, try not to cut her ear off and it might be nice to see what she is intently looking at. Keep it up!
