#1 is kind of busy with different parts in & out of focus. #2 & #3 turned out pretty good. Did you use a tripod?

no, 100% hand held, with VR (which is an awesome technology).

#3 is my favorite, composition, color, everything. Very well done, being hand held. Something you could look into, as a less expensive alternative to a new lens, would be extention tubes which allow you to get closer.
