I went out this morning knowing that conditions were forecasted to be nearly perfect for a great sunrise. Luckily I got there early and started shooting at blue hour, because the sunrise itself was quite lackluster. Admittedly, this shot was never meant to be the final product.. it was taken mostly as a test shot to make sure my composition was set exactly as I wanted it, but it ended up being my favorite of the morning.
I found this tree a few months ago and have been experimenting with different compositions and times of day, and this is my favorite so far. I'm really enjoying negative space compositions these days.
Fuji X-T3 + 55-200 with a medium edge ND grad filter. Shot at 164mm, iso 160, f/22, and 240 seconds. Velvia film simulation with only minor editing in Lightroom to increase the foreground exposure a bit.
C&C welcome as usual.
