Went down to the local lake for sunset the other night. It was mostly a bust but I like the colors and sparkly light in this one.

Thanks I think, lol. I understand what you mean about the crop. I considered cloning out that overhanging branch top left but in the end I decided to leave it because it gives it... perspective? context? a frame? I'm not quite sure but I like it better with.

We had a spectacular purple and fire sunset tonight but I was driving with no chance to capture it! Anyone in MA get a shot of that sky tonight?

Anytime I have an issue with a crop or framing, I know there is something inherently "wrong." In this shot it was apparent the horizon line was off kilter, and quite significantly. Reorienting it and then scaling the image to fit your frame brought everything back into its proper perspective. I did do some selection by color range to the foreground leaves to add a bit more yellow luminescence (perhaps a bit more transparency, if you like) to the leaves as it was already there but buried by the water luminosity.
