Purple Trillium

Headed south for about 20 miles, and in these mountains that can be a whole new climate zone. Found what I was looking for....a patch of Purple Trillium. Up where I am, they're still budding out.

i haven't seen trillium since my days working in my university greenhouse. beautiful capture of a beautiful flower.
