Quality vs. Quantity

I had an Art Director (Bob Rogers) who once told me..."Jon, never underestimate the poor taste of the American public". Still true today, 30 years later.

Great quote.

This is a great thread and so many good points. I could apply this to so many real world business examples that I have run across that I can't even count. I myself have no doubt fallen into this ever present fact of life.

Great responses from this! Thanks!

So, Saturday night, I shot at the races again, for the first time after this topic.

At any photo opportunity, I fired away. Usually, I can shoot 600 shots, and have 450 "keepers" (keepers: photos people might buy, but not necessarily photos i'm proud of)
However, Sat night, I took about 1100 pictures, and ended up with over 900 that I am proud of.

I think other factors played in with this... more shots seemed CRISP. Either 1) the 40D handles AI Servo better, or 2) the 40D is easier to maneuver when panning.

However, moral of the story. I did end up shooting more, but it was worth it for the Quantity of Quality pictures.
