Quantaray or Nikon Lens

Hey Guys and Gals,

I am getting ready to purchase a 18-200mm lens.

Is there a $220 quality difference between the Nikon and Quantary?

Go with the Nikon,
It is a good lens with lots of great reviews, plus you get VR on the lens.

Yeah most reviewers like the Nikkor better than the Sigma or Tamron

Most def the Nikon. I pretty much stay with them Sigma and Tamron.

Go with the Nikon lens, though I have tested the lens myself and would personally go with getting an 18-55mm and a 55-200mm. You get MUCH less distortion and the chromatic aberration is less noticeable. Unless you're going for one all around lens, then definitely get the 18-200mm VR.

For $220? The Nikkor is WELL worth it. Get the Nikkor lens. Quantarays are not really well known for being quality lenses in this class at all.

Qunataray is a rebrand of sigma or tamron, not it's own stand alone brand.
