Hi,

I shoot RAW with a Nikon D300. For an upcoming show at a very small local gallery, I'm submitting five images.

My question is, what do I need to know about making 16x24 inch prints? Pixels per inch? Do I re-size them in Photoshop, save them to a .jpg and then have them printed?

I've never made a print larger than 8x10 and even then, it was done at Target. Right now, I'm planning on having the prints made by MPix.com, but am open to suggestions there. I will be calling local photography shops as well to compare pricing.

Thanks Folks!

Just a little bump to see if anyone has advice/answers. Thanks folks!

why not call mpix and ask them what size they need ? if they are going to do the printing they would be best suited to guide you.

you might ask what color space they print and if they print in tiff mode.

target is going to srgb color space and i believe only jpeg

Kinkos = cheap and good.

I'm currently running a software development project for FedEx. Maybe I can fanagle a discount of some sort. Nah... contractors don't get perks like that... I will look into their prices, though! Thanks!
