If you take your glue trap outside and carefully dribble vegetable oil around and over the mouse caught on there, it can eventually free itself. Of course, he'll be nicely seasoned for a lucky predator... but that's really not any of your business, right?

why not just use non-kill traps in the first place? otherwise a mouse will chew its own damn feet off to try to escape...

Well, the trap was there to take out roaches, spiders, centipedes, and the like. Didn't know I had any live mice around (cats). I do NOT capture and release roaches, lol.
